Job Description
Small riding / training centre / in Northeast Alabama Tennesee Valley seeks trainer/instructor to develop the riding program and
an equestrian education program for youth and adult riders consisting of week-end and week-long clinics covering all aspects of horsemanship and horse care. Must be qualified to instruct at advanced levels in several disciplines and to start and re-train horses. Typical daily horse care and barn duties. On-Site housing, room for one or two horses, $800 per month to start.

The farm is a great place to live. We enjoy a friendly small town community only minutes from 3 lakes. For our city needs Huntsville, Al is only 7 miles away. Chattanooga and Nashville are just over an hour away.
Our perfect candidate will have an interest in:
· Hosting clinics with well-known horsemanship clinicians (Craig Cameron , Pat Parelli and Richard Shrake)
· Quality cutting horses, indoor arena, and miles of trails
· Supporting a business plan which includes development of internships and apprenticeships for all riding levels and disciplines
· Established ridership from which to help build the program
· Facilities that include a main barn, a round pen, and an indoor (120 x 220') arena
· A reliable 8 horse string for lessons
· Regular boarding clients with room to grow boarding clientele
· Onsite housing
Riding Program Responsibilities include:
· Daily care of boarded and ranch owned horses.
· Western/English/Classical riding instruction for students of all ages and levels
· Trail Boss on organized trail rides
· Assisting in the training of ranch and boarded horses
General Ranch Responsibilities include:
· Maintaining barn area, tack, tack room, and the arenas to a high standard of performance and safety.
· Maintaining fences and pastures where horses are boarded.
· Assisting with the livestock operation as needed.
· Helping to maintain the ranch, as necessity requires.
Qualifications we seek:
· Experienced, competent rider and teacher with a solid foundation in training, horse and rider safety, tacking, grooming, feeding, ground manners, trail riding, arena work, and working with beginning and experienced riders.
· A proven track record in horse care, barn management, training, and instruction a must.
· Dedication to the highest standard of horsemanship and continuous customer focus
· Willing attitude toward the wide variety of tasks required in our operation
· Ranch experience and handiness with tools
· BHS or Equine Sciences degree.
In addition to wages, onsite private residence and space for your own horse is provided. During an initial 90-day trial period, the starting wage is $200/week. Upon successful completion of the trial period, wages will increase to $300/week and bonuses will be paid for horse training as new clients sign on. Profit-sharing possible.
Qualified candidates should provide a video depicting their riding and teaching style along with a detailed work history and references. Background check required.
